Editing issues! HELP!

So, in my latest videos i've been noticing some screen after images on my footage. And i've traced it to the rendering process, because i've looked at the raw video and nothing is wrong, and nothing is wrong when i'm actually recording. I use Cyberlink power director, my only thought is that it's because i'm recording in 720p, the main timeline of the editing is in 1080p, and when i render it out, i chose 720p again, does anyone think that's the problem? I've just started noticing this though :/

record in 1080p if your editing 1080p, otherwise if your clip is 720p then edit in 720p. (29.97 frames) HD quality is (59.94) I make mixes and am an editor so this is something common I hear about
