Editing hours or minutes

Im starting to notice that the more graphic elements I put into my vidwos the longer editing time I have. Not because its difficult but because I easily get bored and distracted. Lol

For a typical video like I did with my ultimate 7 villian video where I used video footage and pictures and timed edits it took me around 6 or 7 hours total.

HOw long does it take you to complete a 7 to 10 minute video with heavy edits and graphic elements?

I don't know if i'd consider mine heavy edits etc hmmm however my 7-10 min vids take me 30 mins- 1 hr to edit usually because I like to finish it all in one go and finish asap usually but there was one where I had heaps of images to place and that took a lot longer.
 
I've been working on this 4 minute video's graphics and editing for a combined total of 3 hours probably. I want to update and improve my graphics still though, so I'm guessing I got another 2 hours to go. I tend to switch ideas around as I'm working with them.
 
I edited a video today for about 7 hours as well. Even though there isn't many things I can do with my editing program. The lining up the lips with the words of the songs takes forever. Then..my driver can't display the video properly, so it always previews choppy. I have to keep rendering the video out to see how I'm doing lol. Then...I had to keep resizing the shots, because some shots were taken on a cell phone, others on a digital camera. Ugh, it was madness and now I'm exhausted lol.
 
Well I thought it was just me taking extended periods of editing. I have sometimes gone so long with editing footage, cutom pictures, editing sound, sound fx and music in one video it took me 4 or 5 days to complete. Lol nice to know that there are others putting in similar work.

Sometimes when editing i swear if one thing starts messing up it all just starts messing up lol. Makes me just want to throw the computer out the window.
