If the video is only 30 seconds, it should not be larger than a gb in most circumstances, so yes it should come back to mb although it all depends.

For a 30 second clip it should in theory drop it to under 200 MB, depending on how heavily edited it is

Re-render it as a quicktime movie and in the settings change it to an h.264 codec. You should get some nice quality with a small file size[DOUBLEPOST=1372401664,1372401616][/DOUBLEPOST]

No. That would be unnecessary unless you need a quick upload time
