hey guys so i have an issue. i recently finished editing my video on.after effevts saved it but the file is so large 2.3 gb for a 30sec clip! i had to edit it in clips befause of thia but iys still.too big. does anyone.know how i can reduce the size. its in 1080p and was saved as a.mt2s using my friends camera. but i dont have hat typw of.memory on my laptodoes anyone know how to shrink.the size also i saved it as.a.avi on aftereffects but its still so large. ..any afvife. ..thankyou

Why are you using avi format? Save it as a Quicktime video and in the video options change the codec to H.264

.mt2s is a raw video file with no compression to allow for true HD. .mt2s should not be uploaded to YouTube -- It's too large, and there is no point; it's usually just a format to record.

Just saw that you changed it into .avi -- I personally use .mp4 but this works too I suppose. Could you perhaps post a picture of your rendering settings?

Well, if he wants to reduce the size, something has to change.

If you're saving it though a video editing software, then render it as an mp4. It should be much smaller than an avi.

Conversion would lose quality. The OP is definitely going to have to re-render the video out with different settings. The render settings could be way too high where not needed, or saving it to the H.264 video codec as a QuickTime Movie should fix the file size like SamTochelliDesign suggested
