Is it possible to edit my voice using some software?
Like to make settings preset which I would apply every time I would record myself?

I am thinking of making commentary gaming vids in future so asking this cause I dont like my voice at all.. :D

LOL what you can do is, record your voice, import your voice into audacity, select all your voice signal and hit CTRL+D to duplicate the waveform, now you have original waveform at top, duplicate at bottom, select the bottom waveform and go to PITCH, decrease your pitch by 20 db (so it should be -20db). Play your voice, you have attained a ROBOTIC VOICE :D

CHEERS

I am not good in audio editing but I will learn it.. I was not thinking of robotic voice but just to enchance the voice little bit.. I will try to do it all in some software which I still dont have but I will get some soon :D

Have to admit i am in the same boat as you. I would love to do some commentary gameplay as i think i would be entertaining (bigheaded me here haha) but i HATE the sound of my own voice when i hear it on avoicemail or video etc. So a thought i had was if i was to do commentary would be to maybe higher the pitch a little so it's not so deep, but then part of me wouldn't want to do that as i would kinda be 'cheating ' the viewers i guess... Or maybe they wouldn't be that bothered as log as it was entertaining.... ?

You wouldnt cheat anyone.. Its your content.. But make shure you save preset of your voice change for the future use because you dont want to sound different in each video xD

Hating your voice is how it starts!

It's only because you're not used to hearing it outside of your own head. After awhile your brain mixes the two together and it doesn't sound weird anymore.

The only editing I normally do to my voice is a bit of compression in Audacity or Adobe Audition. Both these programs have a batch processing option. In Audacity, you can set up an effects chain and apply it to all of your audio recordings all at once, pretty handy. =)

Yeah i kinda assumed after a while i would get used to it, even though i would be used to it.... i'd still probably hate it hahahaha

I mean, don't get me wrong. I watch my older videos sometimes and cringe at how I sounded, but when you're in the video making game, it's just part of your life now. xD

Your voice and personality will be captured throughout your life for you to replay and laugh at.
