I just received the s-video cables for my xbox 360, and i was going to use it for my easycap to get better quality videos, but when i set the capturing device to svideo component the screen is black and white, so i thought it was the software so i download another one and the same problem continued........ i need help please.

What kind of TV are you recording off of? Are you using the easy cap to record directly on your PC?

I use easycap for my older consoles, but for things like an Xbox 360 you may want to look to get something slightly more reliable.

If you can clarify exactly what you're doing with the easy cap I can see if I know the solution :)

Have you tried searching and updating the easycap drivers? I remember that was a problem when I had my easycap. I just plugged the S-Video lead into the capture device and used the yellow lead for visual on my screen, just search around. Although man, I would highly recommend upgrading to a HD device by now. S-Video wont add much to quality with such a cheaply priced device.
