Easier after 1000 subs?

I've heard a couple of times that the first 1000 is the hardest; can anyone with at least a few thousand subs confirm this? I'd like to believe it gets easier and the subs start growing exponentially after that, but I'd like to hear first hand from someone who's done it. Any advice either way on the accuracy of this?

On my original channe i had hit 1000 after a year or so, and then within another six months i had gained another 800. So the second batch was definitley easier than the first

I don't know what to say, I'm still growing in the same rate.

It doesn't matter how many subs you have it depends on how many views you get. If you are getting views and people are seeing your videos they will sub if they enjoy it.
Technically after the first 1000 the YouTuber will learn the do's and dont's of YouTube and knows how to work the videos in order to get subscribers lol.

On another note it is easier for someone to subscribe to a channel with more subs than it is to subscribe to a channel with lets say 20 just because of the mindset. But if the content is there it shouldn't matter at all. I've subbed to plenty of small channels because I enjoyed their content. It's just a matter of finding it!

I have over 1k subs on new channel but their inactive and came from my old channel and my old channel has like 700subs and 2 viral videos which makes it grow on its own. But i do believe having 1k+ active subs is a really good steady audiance that will help your channel on its own without trying.

Well it's like the snowball affect. First it's slow, picking up a couple subscribers here and there, but once you get going your snowball, or subscriber number, gets bigger and bigger.

I've noticed it a little with 100s. My first 100 was really slow but now every 100 gets easier

Think of it this way, are you more likely to subscribe to someone who has 100 subs, or are you more likely to subscribe to someone who has >1k?

Yeah alot of youtubers have said it does get alot easier after the first 1000 subs, as if they are active on youtube and enjoy all your videos they will be commenting and liking your videos so that anyone who visits their page will see it, and then go to your page and watch your videos, and so on :)

Unless your channel is in decline, the second hundred/thousand/million is always easier than the first. Part of it has to do with having a audience to build off of, but hopefully you also learned something along the way that will make things easier.

While audience psychology with your sub number does come into play, it matters less than people think. Your content is much more important. An audience won't subscribe and stick around if your material sucks, so once you hit a certain milestone, don't even think about taking it easy or you'll lose everything you fought for.

I mentioned this in another thread. I see a lot of channels that have thousands of subs but their vids oddly only get a few views. I have 25(yes, that's right:D) subs on one channel but my vids on that channel get a couple a thousand views a week. My other channel has about 100 subs but my videos got from a couple of thousand to a couple of hundred thousand views each so I guess subs aren't as important as some people think.
