Earnings Dropped Lately

I got partnered to Creator X at the end of December. Since then, I have noticed a drop in earnings with the same amount of views. I was making more with Adsense even though the split was basically the same. Has anybody else experienced this drop once partnered? I though being partnered would get better paying ads and all that stuff to be featured on the channel.

With Adsense you get 100% of your earnings basically. With a network you'll get about 40% of your earnings, as the Network takes a cut.

During the month of January, the CPM drops due to all the advertiser money spent during the Christmas holiday. Just wait a few weeks to see if it returns back to normal.

partnership with a network takes a part of the earnings, but i heared it also depends on how many people acctually click the advertisements on your video.

January through to June are the worst months for networks, at the end of June up till Christmas CPMs steadily climb!

Just a random figure. Most networks have a 60/40 split so it was just a number not a set-in-stone figure.

40% is a really bad deal. I know people on Fullscreen that still take 80% of their own earnings. :s
Do Creator X give you a manager? You should speak to hm/her and find out, though January s always going to be a bad month for earnings.
I'd make sure you get the be deal you can before ever joining a network.

the low end is 60% (Machinima and RPM), most networks give 70-80% and then bigger channels get offered 90%
