Dubbing videos into a second language

Babyteeth is sinking its teeth into the Spanish market :)

I've been thinking about doing this as well. I think you had a good idea of modifying your channel colors and just adding "en espanol" to is as you will retain your brand recognition :) I was wondering if you could elaborate on turn over times for such a project?

Also, are there any specific companies you would recommend? Or things to avoid when searching for one?

THANK YOU! I've been thinking about doing this for awhile on a couple of my channels but never got around to it because, primarily because I'm lazy and procrastinate too much LOL. Anyway, I am really looking forward to seeing how this new dubbed channel takes off for you. Please keep us posted. Also, are you promoting the channel in any way besides the trailer video you mentioned? Advertising, etc or through annotations on your current videos (for spanish, click here (on all of your current channel's videos), e.g.)?

Also, what percentage of your audience is currently Spanish speaking or from Spanish speaking countries?

I can't wait until you see the results from this. As a matter of fact I might not wait lol. There have been some real interesting threads lately with people trying new things. That's what I like the most about forums like this. Good luck!
 
I was super excited when I saw the promo video earlier. I love that the girls mentioned this as a great opportunity for your regular viewers to expose themselves to another language, I think a lot of parents will see the new channel as an educational one and maybe allow more screen time for their kiddos to watch it ;)

The videos were both dubbed in about 12 days, this was a larger project with multiple voices. Normally they can turn them around in about a week.

Thank you! So far we're just promoting it through a video on our regular channel, I haven't even gotten around to annotating the English videos yet but that's definitely something we're planning on doing. Advertising might be an option down the road if it can be targeted towards a Spanish speaking audience.

We get over a half million views from Central America each month, then there's another half million in Spain, plus many South American countries speak Spanish in addition to Portugese (1.5 million monthly). The United States is probably our largest source of Spanish speaking viewers, we estimate nearly 2 million per month. So all told we think we have about 4.5 million people who speak or understand Spanish viewing each month.

There are nearly 40 million people who speak Spanish in the USA, and many are young viewers with ready access to computers and tablets, so we are hoping to connect with those viewers and grow our audience!

Thats a good turn over time. It must have been funny to hear your children speak another language for the first time :). I couldn't find any company in mexico by that name on Google, do they have a website?

Que? No comprendo.

Spanish is definitely the first go-to language to make available.

For me, my second one would be Portuguese for Brazil (500K views a month). Unfortunately, the CPM's are 1/2 that of the USA.

They don't have a website but if you send me a PM I can provide contact info.
 
I just noticed that RoxyRockstv seems to have all different languages on a single channel. It might be worth to analyze if this works well for them.
