Dont forget to subscribe.

I prefer to say subscribe for more videos from me so people know what they are getting, I used to say that but never any more

You'd unsubscribe just because they're looking for more people to enjoy their content and receive feedback? This is YouTube...and especially for a YouTube based forum, you'd realize why people do that.

I have not seen an instance where not saying it is bad, so yea and also, i dont just unsubscribe because of what ever, when you say "Like favorite and subscribe", with no basis for me to do so, then i unsubscribe....like you did a update video and say crap like that XD, im gonna like and favorite the update? My favorite is "Im posting soon, subscribe for future content"....instant close page lol

Well, on update videos, then it would be unacceptable, really. But I think the 'I'm posting soon, subscribe for future content' is to bring up hype, which I think is good, as long as whatever they're going to upload is good lol

most of the time its low quality poop content XD, i include nickelodeon in this saying btw, so much poop content.

They say it because it works. Try it out once and you'll get more new subscribers than people who unsub out of annoyance. It's strange what works on YouTube. I had lunch with a corporate channel/network CEO and he told me the most effective way of picking up more subscribers with virtually no extra work is to put a subscribe link in the first line of the description. It doesn't seem necessary since the subscribe button is usually within 2 inches of that link, but I tend to listen to people who get 350 million views per month. Results from our gaming channel indicate he's correct.

Well a great deal of my traffic comes from outside of youtube. So people are watching the videos on message boards, facebook, etc. I stopped doing it for a good portion of my videos and noticed that the subscriber growth was much slower without the reminder.

That said, I know what you're saying to an extent. Some people do it pretty obnoxiously.

Never beg for it in your content. Only remind the viewer once at the end of your video - this doesnt have to be a spoken reminder - a simple image with a subscribe annotation is often enough ;)
