Dont blow your cash on microphone

I just compared one of your videos with someone with a much more expensive mic, there was quite a lot of quality difference to be fair

Well I happen to live in the US so my prices might be a bit off when I translate them, but I got a good headset/mic for about what is about 25 Pounds on amazon and it has worked fantastic for the past 2 years without any trouble. So it is kind of worth spending a bit of money on a decent and cheap mic.

It's not that the cheaper mic is better, it's just you who doesn't know how to get the best out of the more expensive microphone. I have used multiple recording devices ranging from dynamic mics, portable recorders, camera mics and now I only use my condenser studio microphone that was probably as expensive as all my other mics together, the quality I now get is also as good as all the others combined. So learn your tools before making a statement about it.

do you use some kind of software or soundboard/mixer to get better quality or do you just plug it in to the usb port?

(always looking to improve)

I use an external audio interface/soundcard which allows me to connect the XLR microphone to the computer.

I think a decent mic is one purchase where it's worth investing. You don't have to break the bank, but a condenser mic with a cardioid mode won't pick up much background noise if used correctly and will sound so much better than a cheapo mic.

It's never too early to invest in great audio. Never. Before buying a video editor or even being able to edit well, I think it's a great investment to afford good game capture equipment and a good microphone if you can afford it.

i've recently gotten a new headset its Cyber Acoustics AC-850 for the price i thought it was going to be awful but to me it actually pretty good despite a low buzzing sound which doesn't bother me
