I see people on this forums, that seem pretty new to youtube, and say things like:
"I lost a subscriber? What did I do wrong? "
And make it seem like it's something that should never of have happened, something that almost makes you sad.
But what you don't think about, is WHY did that person unsubscribe.
Is it because he doesn't like your channel?
Before I say some of the reasons behind the " sub drop ", I want to say that this is perfectly normal.
If you lost one sub, in a month of youtube videos - Don't think people don't like your videos.
Even channels I like a lot, like TheDutchTexan, lose subs, look:
it is perfectly normal, 25 subs LOST a month?
That's almost like one subscriber lost per day!
How can you be sad that you lost a sub in one week?
Think that's much? Look at my analytics.
The least I got was 8!
If I didn't lose any subscribers, then I would be already at 13,000.
It is NORMAL. It happens to EVERYONE.
But why?
Well, people like me that are subscribed to a channel, sometimes like to unsubscribe just to check how many subscribers our favourite youtuber got,
or sometimes We unsubscribe because - We didn't want to subscribe.
This is why you probably lost a sub, because people were hovering over your channel's name, and wanted to click " videos " to see more, but accidentally pressed subscribe.
Of course they unsubscribe right after that, but don't worry,
if they want to see your videos,
they will subscribe sooner or later.
TL;DR Don't be sad that you lost subscribers, because the cause isn't always people not liking your videos anymore.
But be happy that you're actually growing your subscriber number, day by day.
Youtube is a game of patience.
