Does your Parents support your YouTube Content?

Dad: Stop embarssing yourself on the internet. Your making a fool out of yourself. Keep this up and your never get anywhere in life....

This was just said to me and it hurts so bad....

I understand hes stress but Ouch....

We have a Travel business, and my folks have been within the industry for about 2-3 years, Im fairly new.
Started this year january. Its a Network Industry where you make commission by booking peoples travel and also have the option to recruit and network with others.

My father is a serrious business man, earlier today i needed help with holding my camera. I went to reach out to my brother for assistance and im upset at his actions.

hes 19 years old, i exposed to him of my video creation, he then later on exposed to my parents...

Thanks bro... dad watched a few of my channel and went all crazy...

He said he wants me to focus ONLY on the travel business... says thats where the money is...

Says to stop this YouTube Nonsense and stop acting like a fool...

My channel is just me Doing what i enjoy doing and Vlog ontop of tutorials and probably a few silly things.

regardless its my damm channel and can upload whatever the heck i want,,,

I hate how he treats me like a child... Im a grown adult a mother of 2 children and yes perhaps im not making that much views or no cash yet... but im doing this as a hobby for now and for fun.

Of course until IF it ever happens where im able to make decent money from YT Of course i am focusing on the travel job but still... No need to go bashing on me for wanting to do something that im very passionate about.

Not trying to sound that much of a whiner, its just been a pretty bad day and really wish i had support =/

Least my husband supports me with This, only wish my father would see theirs potential within YouTube as will.

My husband is quite a bit upset at my brother as well,

My husband even advise for me not to expose my channel until it pulled decent views and i made some decent cash from it to show my father instead of just blurting out words without legitimate facts, well guess thats a bit to late.... now i feel trap in limbo...

Do i stop or keep thriving on?

I know if i keep at it i gotta deal with my father

But if i stop then i know that he'll feel that he had won and i ll feel sad deep down because i no longeram doing a hobby that makes me happy,

have any of you exposed your youtube channels to your parents? do they support you?
how did you go about it? did you wait until you made that first check? made some decent views? or told them just as you started out....

feel free to share your storries down below. im kinda currious and feel im alone here
I'm not accepting of my parents...so I've done what I felt was right since I was 18. The funny thing with my dad is he told me I should waste my time with music when I was younger...but neglected to give me any direction on what career path I SHOULD take...he counted on me to guide myself...but only showed interest in what he thought was a good idea. Then I spent 9 years into the Navy before I FINALLY started pursueing what I wanted to.

Don't let ANYONE get in the way of doing things you love! Your parents can try to stand in your way but even they have to believe the fact that you want to do the things you love to do!

Sometimes life wants ye to be a li'l savage to get what you want!

I can relate. My Father would like me to focus on Track and taking AP classes in school more than YouTube and the internet in general I guess, basically to stop using the computer so much. I know I'm a kid but I want you to know you're not the only one.
It's awesome that your husband supports you! Anyways, If that's what you have a passion for, do it. :D
