Does your niche have an awards show?

I'm a part-time Yugituber. My niche has a yearly awards show for the best full time Yugitubers, and it is held by the most active and known channels. Is this common on YouTube? Does other niches have yearly reward shows?
 
I love this one channel called wiiviewr. He always does top 10 lists at the end of the year that I like to watch.
 
There are a lot of comedy festivals, animation festivals, and music festivals (and comedy music festivals :D ), so I'm interested in those since that's what I do. I'm actually entered in a few right now.
