I Love YTtalk
So vhen u upload a video to stupid YT...does it matter vhere you live in terms of vhere it vill most likely show up in searches, etc?

Do people from USA get promoted mainly around USA?...do people from Latin America get promoted mainly in LA?

I live faravay...am I doomed to lonely failure and shame and ze ban from video society?

To answer your question, I think it does matter for SEO. Also, Google keeps track of that information if you advertise and stuff too with ad campaigns. I have locals ads playing/showing up on Youtube sometimes.
 
Depends on how they've set their YouTube. You can choose a language and a country at the bottom of each page. Language is just for how YT gets displayed but country influences which videos get suggested to you. By default it's set to that persons country and language.

Hmmmm...I zhink so too. Zhing is, vhere I'm from people don't speak english, so zhey most likely von't vatch my vids...specially viz my accent vhich makes it impossible for zhem to understand. So I'm making content for english speaking audiences, but most views (even if very few) are from around vhere I live.

Should I take my vengeance on some random innocent human? You know, as a message tu mortals abroad?

Some people talk about PewDiePie got as big as he is in part due to his Swedish domination and because he spoke English, he was also promoted in the other English YT versions (USA, Canada, etc.)
