Does video file name affect YouTube ranking?

I was wondering Does the video file name affect a YouTube video ranking?

From what I've heard, and my own experience, it does play a part. If you have a key word appear in the title, description, first tag, and file name, then you should rank significantly higher than videos that don't, if all other variables are constant. I've gotten a video to rank 1st for "Demonic Abyss" that way.

The title of the video certainly effects its rankings, but afaik, the file name shouldn't. I don't see why it would, personally.

Thumbnail files names will be found by google image search. Other than that, not sure
