CPM just refers to the cost to an advertiser or agency and RPM is what you earn.
Hi Shane, I wish I understood what you wrote, I don't doubt it in any way, and I appreciate the time you took to try and explain it. You obviously know way more than I do, no doubt. Some things I did understand though, like this quote above. RPM is what you get when everything else in the formula to get there is said and done, which includes the CTR factor too. My main point was that your CTR is a factor in the formula of how high or low your end RPM is, and I see the direct correlation on my Adsense reports. If my CTR is 6%, that's pretty good for me, and if it's 3%, it's not so good and my RPM reflects those numbers. I apologize if I made that seem muddled.
