Does joining a network help prevent copyright?

I'm just wondering that if i join a network do they protect me against copyright and basically can i still get copyright while in a network? If they do help in that regard then could someone tell me how they help to stop copyright?

Your phrasing is confusing. Are you asking whether a network can protect you against other people using your content without permission? If so, as far I'm aware, most networks will assist you in dealing with issues like this, but they can't really guarantee anything.
On the other hand, if you're asking whether a network will protect you against getting copyright strikes, then no.... they cannot protect you if you commit copyright infringement.

I mostly second @Johnny_Seagull 's answer, except I would say that "most" networks probably do not assist in dealing with your own copyright being violated -- I mean, there are far more "bad" networks than there are good networks, and you have to be a pretty big youtuber to get into the really stellar youtube networks.

But yeah, if you're talking about protection from getting copyright strikes, then no network can help you with that. Stop violating people's copyright, in case you're doing that.

@Gods of Odds Copyright cannot be "prevented". Copyright exists from the moment of creation for every original literary, video or audio work.

Please use syntax and language correctly. What you are trying to ask, is obviously "can a network prevent copyright claims"; this question has already been answered.

If you want to post media containing copyrighted material in which you don't hold sufficient rights to YouTube, you shouldn't be on YouTube in the first place, as you will be deliberately violating their TOS; in which case you will get exactly what you deserve.

If however, you are thinking of erroneous Content ID claims, a network will only tell you to go through YouTube's process of dispute.

No but many partnerships can and will help you if you end up recieving a copyright strike. They help to get rid of the strike and makes the process a little bit easier from what i hear. If you are looking for a partnership many people say freedom is a good one as it does not have any requirments and is not a lock in. Hope this helps!

this isn't making any sense. Full Screen has license deals that allow people that join their network to monetize cover songs. Same thing with We Are The Hits. Full Screen and We Are The Hits both state you can never get a copyright strike if you join them..

You won't get strikes if you join them and use songs that are covered under their cover program, not all songs period. MCNs used to be a place where you join and abuse the content id protection for profit, however those days are long over as youtube crashed hard on mcns last year and forced them to shut down subnetworks and institute a managed/affiliate program (only managed partners have no content id scan checks). It's why there was such an outrage by many people who use to use copyrighted content for gain and were left out in the cold (as any strikes affect the whole network under managed). There is no point in trying to pull the same stunt anymore, it's far more profitable actually trying to build content instead of reuploading/spamming other peoples videos.

you aren't spamming if you are making a cover song legally with a network. Like We Are The Hits or FullScreen. In fact Full Screen states on their site clear as day that the songs in the youtube music library that list whether you can cover it and share in revenue are legal and you can use both YouTube's Library and Full Screens.
