Does it actually help advertising in the forums ?

Hallo Ladies and Mentlegen

I have been inactive for 2 days duo to studies that I had to do. I advertised 2ce here on the forums ( In the Videos & Channels thread ) and I feel like I got no support from that side. It is kind of logical every one only post their thread and no one really reads it.

I am just wondering did this help ? Even if it is a little ?

Thanks for the read

Hey pal, to be quite honest I don't think many people on this forum will actually watch videos others post as u can tell there's a lot of videos posted daily and 70-80% of the people here are youtubers them selves. It will help but it won't give u 1000 views a day just from this forum as people are mostly here to make friends or seek for advise :)

Everyone here is trying to promote themselves. Most comments/likes/subs will be people hoping for one in return, which is why I condemn promoting yourself on here.

So then what do I do. Just wait for subscribers ?
No, go promote yourself on YouTube. Though if your content sucks, it'll get a bunch of dislikes and no subscribers. I haven't watched your stuff, so I wouldn't know if it's crap.

I also think this community isn't big for promoting. But when you are active I do think the signature video helps just a tiny bit.

And if people here like your video's they might even follow you. But besides that, this forum helps you with questions if you use the search box. Get experience etc. And of course meet new people.

Really, it's the same with any forum/group. You're more than welcome to self promote, just don't expect everyone to look at your content. I'm sure there are people who do watch videos but that doesn't mean they're required to subscribe either. I've definitely watched videos from many users here and have even subbed a few times!

My favorite thing about this place is that it's a legitimate community where you can learn so much about YouTube. You can even tap into each other's experience for graphics, advice, support, encouragement, and even make a few friends along the way.

95% of people who have checked out my content through this forum have done so through my signature videos. I just post in the video sections just as a courtesy to anyone who might look in there.

You are far better off just chatting on the forums with everyone being yourself, if people like you as a person they will check out your content.

I don't expect everybody to love my content I understand their will be people that will dislike it to the ground. I was just wondering is it worth trying to self promote this is kinda my first time doing forums as well. I had so many problems on my channel and this community had helped me through tough patches as well and even made me a better person. The reason why I ask all these questions on this forum is to try and understand how everything functions, what I can do from my side to improve my own channel, what I can do to help others etc... I love this forum because for the small amount of time I was here I learned so much :D and I thank all of you for everything.
