Does anyone know the algorithm for related channels on Youtube?

I have a weird related channels list on the bottom right side of my channel. My channel is mainly a pop culture/vlogger channel. But I have related channels about conspiracy theorists, curvy women lovers, and Barack Obama?. LOL

Is the algorithm based on the demographics of the viewers or something? I have no idea how it works.

It's all a secret, no one truly knows how it works. Not helpful I know but it's the truth lol. Google doesn't release that kind of info to anyone at least to those without an NDA with Google.

As a general rule, companies don't reveal their algorithms. It's kinda what gives them a competitive edge.
