Does anyone else struggle with the banner art?

I actually used this template to create mine. Turned out pretty well!
 
Use some image size changing apps. First I searched in the internet and use collage maker. They also edit the size. But the banner I made is ugly so I improved a bit and then made it in word and paint. After that it's still ugly and I used photoshop. There's an image size and you can make your banner neatly. Maybe I can make an article w/ the evolution of banner in it..

I always have full concept of my banners. The one I have now is the outcome of my idea with a little help from internet and photoshop.
 
I know what you mean.
I work alot with photoshop so i think i just lucky on the size and stuff.
Keep workin at it, i hope you have worked this issue out:thumbsup2:
Branding with photos can be hard sometimes, but just find something that goes best with who you are and what your channel focuses on.

I have trouble with it too! Especially since I use PowerPoint to make my art and as far as I know, you can only set the size by inches, not pixels. I just kept changing the scale until it worked :P On the bright side, once you find that sweet spot, you'll know it forever! Hope it all works out for you!
 
I had so much trouble as well but i found a good youtube video to help you. Using picmonkey site. Heres the name of the youtuber i found that did a great tutorial MissTiffanyMa video name how to make youtube banner :) now i have a cute banner :) thanks to her.

I've done the same thing! And a quick Google offers this template. Overlay this on your banner and get your titles and things lined up. Perfect.

I just use Corel Photo and make a HUGE canvas and put the banner in the middle. Helps cropping in YT easy. As for graphics I bought an old school 600k+ Royaty Free art pack. "Art Explosion" I think way back when those were a thing. It should be said, I'm proud of it but it could be a lot better.
