Does anyone else get annoyed when..

I haven't been asked such a question but I don't do YouTube for money or views. I do it for my enjoyment and that I like making and editing videos. The fact that people watch and subscribe is a bonus that also acts as a support to what I do.

This is exactly what I mean. Nobody targeted you, you weren't being accused, yet you're here defending your reasons for doing youtube. Why... WHY?

Does anybody else get annoyed when youtubers start defending themselves saying stuff like "I DON'T DO IT FOR MONEY" and "I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH 2 VIEWERS"?

The reason it annoys me so much is because on the first comment, no duh, and on the second, no you wouldn't.

People who say they don't do it for money probably don't get any so it goes without saying that you're doing it for no money... Nobody is accusing you, and you're not on trial. Settle down.
Then the people who say they'd be happy with 2 viewers are so full of it. If you joined this forum, if you upload your videos, if you tweet your video out or anything of the sort then no, you want more views and you're completely unhappy with how many you have.

Now does this mean you're ungrateful? No, of course not. It makes you a better youtuber to strive for more views and better videos. There's nothing wrong with this. You can be grateful to whoever watches your video and still want more. That's human nature, we want more more more.

Stop defending yourselves, everybody here is on the same page and you don't need to act better than someone just because you think someone else is doing it for unjust reasons. So what if they are? So what if someone makes a channel and wants money and views. They'll probably just give up. How does it harm your channel? It doesn't. Alright?

I think you have a point. People tell themselves they only do it for the enjoyment. But secretly they would LOVE to make enough money to where it was all they did. I started out hoping to get famous, but kind of lost the idea of getting rich from it. Now I just do it because I am bored as fu. If you don't enjoy it... then you aren't going to go anywhere. So everyone just tries to pretend its all they care about.

So I agree and disagree. I do this for the enjoyment (seeing as I make no money) but deep inside really hope for fame and fortune. I am willing to admit it haha, I wouldn't turn it down. But to be honest its probably the last thing on my mind XD seeing as I got a 1 in a million chance of it happening.

Completely agree man and its usually people who are in a good position who state this. The main thing that pisses me off is when the bigger youtubers forget what it was like trying to must up as little views as they could, but nah as soon as they gain the popularity they have the nerve to say this sort of s**t.

The whole point of this thread, was to ask if I get mad at people defending themselves, I answered that with:

I wouldn't get mad at people saying things like that as we don't know exactly what there reasons behind YouTube are. My view on it, not easy to explain though

Is it not the point of this question to ask OTHER people's ideas and feelings about a topic. I have done exactly this and nothing more.
