Does anyone edit montages

I like making montages of games i play on my channel but im not very good at the editing side of things any tips? :)
 
I keep a notebook and a stopwatch next to me when recording, and try to quickly jot down the rough times that funny/interesting clips happen. Saves you from having to go through all the footage to get the good bits.
 
i usually use music for my montages so the song helps with the ques just kinda gotta visualize what you want your video to be before hand..it won't end up the same as it did in your vision but thats ok. the more you do it the easier it gets.
 
We use Sony Movie Studio and the quickest way is to cut and splice the video we like as we go and then move on and watch the rest and keep slicing and then cut out all of the stuff we dont need. then put together all the good stuff.
 
I have made a few in the past, but it's quite a while since I last made one.
I usually just take the funnier parts of a series and make it into a video.
