Does A Partnership Mean Anything Anymore?!

Should reuirments to become a partner be a bit higher than they are now?

I don't know if its just me but I gotta ask does it annoy anyone else when u see people with 2-3 videos jumping on any way of getting partnership they can just to squeeze any bit of money they can get out of their channel, I mean they would glance over a contract and get locked in with a company *cough cough AwesomenessTV cough cough* and b***h and moan about how they got roped in, I just think there should be a little higher standards than their are at the minute, like someone with one video could get a partnership if they wanted, it use to be this prestigious thing on YouTube, and now everyone and their mother has a Patnership, let me know what u guys think, or am I just over reacting to this whole situtation?! :/
 
I don't think it does. First it was AwesomnessTV and now its RPM. It seems the value of partnership has dropped now. Most people just want fancy banners and clickable icons, even though these are fading out as it is.
 
They do still mean something depending on the network you get into, cause no matter what, if you are a big channel you will earn lots of cash and have a very good ration, probably 95/5 and above, just ask Wreckless Eating

Prestige comes from quality content you're proud of. It has never come from partnerships.

I wasent suggesting that someone should be determined by their channel, but what im saying is that to get a partnership you use to have to work and look after your channel, and just to be able to roll up and drop down any old crap and get a partnership is quite annoying, u get me?
 
I feel like partnerships should be harder to get. There is no reason why people getting 80 something views (Or less...) should be getting partnered. I feel like it's something you really have to work for. I got partnered with little views too (I'm not really sure how much exactly, probably in the 80's...), and I personally don't think I should of got partnered back then honestly lol.

Partnership means nothing if you have a bad channel, as you'll get no assistance and also you'll never hit the payout threshold, so good content still earns from partnerships over bad content.

No, honestly, I don't. It shouldn't matter to you - if you don't like easy-entry partnerships, don't sign with easy-entry networks. It doesn't affect you if someone else gets partnered with low stats.

People are annoyed because "this is crap, now everyone gets a trophy", without realizing it was a plastic trophy to begin with.
