Doctor Who music help needed

Firstly, Merry Christmas, hope you are all having a lovely day

I was planning on doing a doctor who video tomorrow, about my thoughts on it and such. But I was wondering if I would be able to use the doctor who music on it? like the theme tune or some other type of music from the show?

The video won't be monetized if that makes any difference.

I am still trying to learn all about the copyright side of youtube

I don't think you'd get away with it as the Doctor Who theme tune is very well known and I'm sure it will get flagged pretty quick.

I don't know if they always do but it's a bit different as its not a direct copy of the song as such.

I was under the assumption that copyright came into play when videos were monetized? I have a lot to learn haha

Personally, if you don't know and can't find out I wouldn't suggest doing it. On YouTube I never take such risks.

I'm going to give it till tonight and see if anyone else has an idea about it and if not I will ask youtube themselves or whoever up there haha

You could always just make a blank video with the song and upload it as unlisted...then you'll be able to see if it's blocked or not.
