Do Your Parents Like/Support You Making Youtube Videos?

In addition to what I wrote before, I've sort of just remembered the reason I'm really secretive about my channel.
When I was in high school, I was off sick for a few days and in those days one of my old "friends" decided that during computer class he'd bring up my channel to show a few people (before my channel was for gaming, and I did a bunch of vlogs, skits, random stuff on there) and I got a text or two from people about it. Apparently a few of them watched them in class and laughed about it (in a negative way), so when I got a text about it I immediately privatised all my videos and took the rest of the week off school. Not the response I wanted from my friends seeing my videos :/

Honestly, this is my worst fear. I'm out of high school, but in college a similar situation could still occur. It's so easy to come to conclusions and pass judgment on people online because to some extent they're not real to us. Even if they're present in our everyday life, I feel like we perceive the internet in a different context. Regardless, props to you for continuing to put out content! It takes a lot of courage to hear judgement and continue pursuing what you love.
 
They're not even aware I do YouTube videos, they just think I talk English at random times behind my computer! xD
 
My parents do watch and enjoy my videos (or at least so they claim), but I don't think they really understand why I would want to post videos on the internet for strangers to see.
 
My parents know! My dad is definitely more of a follower of my work; he even helps me come up with ideas on occasion and I'm planning to have him feature in a video at some point.
 
My parents know I make videos, but don't watch them. Which I'm very grateful for. Firstly so I don't have to worry about censoring myself, and secondly because I'd feel nervous while recording knowing that they'd be watching. I'd almost feel like I was talking directly to them. XD

They are supportive though! Just not in an active way.
 
It sucks to live away from your parents.. I havent started making videos but in my previous channel my parents supported me :D
 
i don't think my mum has a clue what i do XD although she seems to understand what subscribers are and respects what ive built so far which is cool of her esp considering im not a huge youtuber
 
Lmao I have to keep me and my friend's channel secret because my mom found my personal channel somehow and she forced me to take down the videos even tho it was only my voice, good thing I started this channel with my friend lol
