Do your own views count toward audience retention?

For example, if I watch my older videos, does that affect the audience retention on those videos? And if they do, does it count in the "subscribed" or "non-subscribed" category? Because I'm definitely not subscribed to myself, but it doesn't seem to appear in the "non-subscribed" either.

I don't know the answer but I am pretty sure that it doesn't count. Otherwise we all will be boosting our audience retention times by watching our videos again and again. Most probably it counts only the very first time you watch it (as a unique IP associated with certain gmail account) but definitely not after that.

I always watch my own videos one time fully and like them.
I have no idea if it means anything or not, but I feel why not? (The like part is good to do, though, since it looks better with one like than zero likes)

I watch my video before I hit publish just to make sure there wasn't a slip-up. It does add one view, but it is what it is. It's not like you are inflating your watch count. I don't like my own stuff though, that would feel like cheating.

I believe it does count but only the first time you watch them.
