Do you watch smaller YouTubers?

I'm still growing as a youtuber. Have gone from a watcher to a poster. Before it was just the major names on youtube I watched but now I watch the smaller ones cause I know how much they want to grow just like I do. Beside watching the smaller ones gives me ideas to use on my own channel and help them by leaving comments on things they do good and things they should work more on.
 
I do love watching smaller channels grow and improve, it's the best part! Especially when many larger channels seem to have hit their peak in terms of content and are starting to go downhill.

Smaller youtubers' videos feel more personal to me. I feel like they are more relatable as they are real people doing the daily grind to invest in their channel and nobody puts them on a pedestal. They feel like the real deal and I think that is how youtubers should be.

The problem is finding smaller channels with the type of content I watch. Some very small channels make it clear that all they care about is how many subs/views they have/want, especially with aspiring vloggers, and it is very off putting - milestone videos are an exception though :)
 
This is really nice to see others do give time for the smaller Youtubers .

Gives me hope for the future because being a small youtuber myself it can feel like your all alone sometimes haha
 
Yes all the time =) But it's hard to find on YouTube cause it seems like they only promote popular channels, This is why I love yttalk cause now I can find all the small channels and watch different content =)
 
I do not. If they provided good content, the would have been big already. Also define what "small youtuber" means, below 1000 subs or so?
 
I don't go looking for them, but I usually check out the channels of people that comment on my videos. Or if there's an interesting title or thumbnail in the sidebar or YouTube recommendations, I'll check those out.
 
I only watch smaller youtubers. Since I've started doing this, I've enjoyed youtube a lot more. I really like everyone I'm subscribed to and watch all their videos and comment. The good people in this forum are doing some amazing work.
