Do you upload right when you finish?

If you search "best time to upload to youtube," the first result says that the most traffic-heavy time on YouTube is between 2pm-6pm, Tuesday-Thursday. So, if you're hoping to upload when most users will be online, you could shoot for that window and see what happens?
 
We do daily releases so we tend to schedule ours ahead of time. Part of what helps with that (which applies to anyone) is the chance to do a tease on twitter or FB and build up a little anticipation for the release.

It also gives you time to spell check your title/tags/desc, which I usually need :P
 
We try to stick to a regular uploading day but no specific times. We upload Saturdays and Thursdays usually around peak YT viewing times. :]

Is that Eastern time?

I'll usually private my videos so I can put the annotations on and do a final spelling and grammar check and make sure tags are good.
 
I usually do. But I schedule them to upload in the early morning (around 10 GMT). Out of my 18 uploads, obly two have been non-schedule, and those were both of my commentaries.
 
I usually do but I'm trying to take some time before uploading so that I can go back to the video and make sure I'm 100% happy with it... what can I say, I'm a perfectionist haha. As for prime uploading times, I've never really bothered since subscribers will get an email anyway. Although I might now try the Tues-Thurs 2pm-6pm thing...

Upload at peak times?
How do we judge the peak time - from an internet search result?? lol
YouTube peak times probably fluctuate and can vary throughout the week, in my opinion of course........
 
I personally, record anytime I can, then edit and render anytime I can and then I've actually gone ahead and set myself a simple schedule to stick to in order to have regular content. I usually find myself uploading during the day and set it to private, for me it allows me to actually schedule the videos after that. If I haven't scheduled them by this point, I keep them set to private and I upload them around 6pm GMT which is about 10am PDT I believe and this seems to be ok but at the moment I'm testing a good time so I'd say have them ready to publicise any time after 6-8pm and you should be fine! :D
