Hello, I'm a newbie here. I'm a French hair care and beauty Youtuber, I mostly put out videos geared towards girls and woman with tightly curly hair. I share hair dos tutorials and basic information (how to detangle etc).
I've started to branch out a little and posted a makeup tutorial, and done a collaboration with a much more well known Youtuber with near 30,000 subscribers with hair & makeup.
I also do videos with my friends who are fair skinned (comparing makeup products), and who have straight hair (to style their hair).

My question to you is: Do you think the beauty niche/community on youtube is saturated? How can one get noticed? Do you think that now with all the beauty youtuber that have reached past 500,000 to 1m subscribers, other smaller channel will still be able to grow and be discovered by more people?

To me it seems a lot of the big channels are promoted and since a lot of beauty girls have high numbers in subscribers they are even more promoted thus it is now more difficult for other hair care and beauty youtubers to be found and noticed.

I think it's saturated but there are so many ways to approach creating a beauty channel. There are ladies who have tight curly hair who get absolutely nothing from tutorials made by a woman with naturally straight hair. Ladies who are super-girly with a love for lace and frills might have a tough time keeping the interest of a lady who wears spiked shirts and ripped jeans.

I think everyone is unique and everyone has something fresh and new to say! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1366305115,1366304967][/DOUBLEPOST]Btw, I LOVE your natural approach to beauty and the fact that you're not afraid to incorporate your glasses into your looks instead of hiding from them. I subbed. :D

Every niche on youtube is saturated. The beauty gurus I watch I normally watch them because I like *them* as a person, if that makes sense. Collaborating is obviously a good way to get noticed. I do think its crazy how many gurus have the amount of subs they do, but i'm sure you'll get there. Good luck!

Just my two cents but I personally thing most of the women who do makeup tutorials look 100 percent better without..sorry if off topic :3

Aww thank you so much! Speaking of glasses I do intend to make some glasses videos, maybe something funny and helpful too (for girls with glasses and those who have a deep near sightedness)[DOUBLEPOST=1366306635][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hahaha yeah, but try to tell them that they'll probably don't believe you! I know I wouldn't[DOUBLEPOST=1366306757][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yes I get that, I am the same. In the smaller niche of the natural hair community (ladies who chop their chemically straightened hair to go back to their kinky curly tightly coily hair), there are some big channels, girls with very beautiful hairstyles but I don't like how they are in their videos so I never watch them.

I agree ^_^ but, while some women think they "need" their makeup, tons of other women do their makeup because it's lots of fun to be creative. It's like art for your face! :)

As a curly hair girl, I will tell you...there isn't many curly haired youtubers that create good content.
Love your channel btw.

yes the beauty community on yt has a lot of ladies there i feel your pain because i do a lof of makeup stuff there not sure how you can get notice because a lot fo the ladies dont stick together. I will check out your channel.

most niches on the internet are saturated.
but there are always ways to stand out!
the easiest is by being yourself :)
and have you noticed that so many ladies (like the bigger channels) quit making videos or "sell out"?
there will always be room for a smaller channel to grow...
just keep working hard!
