Do you think becoming popular on YouTube is still possible?

Thanks for the input guys, I just feel like it's going to take a long long long time to get there, and that's not a bad thing however what demand is there for a YouTuber if I'm getting older? people want to watch young people and I'm already 21. I just feel like I'll be finished before I've started if that makes sense xD but I wont give up nonetheless!

I wish I hat 4200! But I agree with what everyone else has said! & Honestly speaking, you're only 21. So much more can happen in the coming years, you have no idea what's going to happen in your future. Just keep striving and keep trying, keep your eyes on the prize.

You can do it! Focus on yourself and making your content better and educating yourself, and you'll realize that the numbers and views grow when you put out stuff you're proud of.

If you enjoy what you do, why stop?
I enjoy playing games, and since editing and uploading does not take that much extra time, I started uploading.
I am no way near to be recognized, but that does not disheart me.

This question has been asked time and time again on this forum. In my opinion, you need to have what pretty much everyone else has said on this thread already: Talent, looks and money. But you also need to commit. Having a youtube channel and wanting to become "E-famous" is like being a TV channel. You want people to keep coming back, so you need engaging content that's going to get people to keep coming back. Keep yourself in front of peoples eyes.

I don't really have the experience to say its possible, but my view on it is that the only way to get into the big time a lot faster than the years it took the original youtubers (5-6 years) is to get a shout-out like your friend did :)

Kind of d*ck move if he refuses to talk to you know though. Collabing, I can see his side. But otherwise, ehhhhhhhhhhh

:D

I'm 51. Looks and age aren't everything. It's about providing content that an audience wants to watch.
Damn! 51! and 200k+ subscribers. Man that's inspirational.

Unfortunately with YouTube's growing popularity, getting famous like @AlexGotBeats said, you usually have to be good looking, talented (personable on camera, entertaining if you're a gamer, that kinda stuff), and have money to invest into advertisements to put your channel name out there. It's sad, but with how this world works, you have to be superficial sometimes.
Either that, or you get someone huge to shout you out and blow up your channel. But even then, those subscribers usually only subscribe because their idol told them to, so 50% won't even watch your videos.
You gotta invest some money out of your own pocket now a days to get anywhere, but that's just all part of the climb.
Because even if you invest money, you gotta be entertaining. If you're not entertaining, you're wasting your money.

Hmm good input, even if I did have money I'd have no idea who to contact to help me get my channel out there xD. I'd definitely do that though! my current subs are very positive about me, hopefully others will be too!
