Do you prefer Facecam on Let's Plays?

I think it depends on the game. Like TobyGames does. At Beyond Two Souls he didn't use one at other games where he can show more facial expressions like Happy Wheels he does. But in general I prefer the facecam. I dunno :P

It honestly depends completely on the commentator.

Some people it works well with (for instance: Pewdiepie, and markiplier)

Some people it works well without it (for instance: Game grumps)

It all depends on how you portray yourself while playing really.

I am the type to not use a facecam. My humor is more talky then face reactiony.

To be honest, I don't really watch the facecam of many YouTubers. Facecam is like a nose, you can see it, but your brain magically says you're not seeing it unless you voluntarily do it. Is that a little complicated? xD

Not at all, I get what you mean though lol, I actually tend to do that sometimes when I watch other channels with Facecam.

I like face cam on Lets Plays where the gamer is reacting to things (eg Outlast scary moments). However, for just regular videos, i normally just focus on the gameplay.

I think facecams make the whole experience more personal, if you have the possibility then I'd try to include that. Especially if you have funny reactions during your gameplay it's nice to have a visual feedback, too. But if the video is interesting in general, I wouldn't mind LPs with a audio-only-comments, either : )
