Do you mind if someone else uploads your video?

I personally don't mind this but I understand a lot of people don't like it. Has this ever happened to you where another user has downloaded your video and re-uploaded it to their own channel?

If they were using my video as reference or to prove a point or something, and they said that I am the source I would be fine. If they just reuploaded it though I wouldn't be too happy because they are benefiting from my work without any effort on their part.

This didn't happen to me yet, but I'll definitely try and get it taken down if it did. May seem a bit harsh but at the end of the day it is taking someone's work and claiming to to be their own.

Yes we mind, we will throw everything at them, we not only notify YouTube about the copyright infringement, we also notify all the other channels who have had their work ripped off by them (there are always others) to get them three strikes and have their channel removed immediately. If you watch out for other channel's backs, they will return the favor, because keeping up with all the ripoffs and re-uploaders is not easy.

The real question is why would anyone would just let another channel steal money right out of their pocket?

If they ask for permission I have nothing wrong with it.. When people pirate my videos it kind of pisses me off, especially when they are one of the "viral video" channels where the stupid assholes just upload other people's stuff as their whole channel.

I wouldn't be happy with someone re-uploading the work that I've put a huge amount of time and effort in to creating. If someone wanted to use a clip or segment from one of my existing videos, then with my permission and me listed as the source then I wouldn't mind too much. But I can't see a reason for anyone to re-upload a full video belonging to another user, unless it's some kind of analyses, in which case I'd expect them to ask permission and list the creator as a source.

I used to flag their channels and get the video taken down but now I don't even bother. Most of my videos aren't stolen from me but from other channels that I authorized my video to go up on. When people take and reupload my video from a community channel they usually copy the community channel's description, therefore linking me and giving me credit.

It is also possible with some networks (probably on your own too) to claim the videos and make all of the money off of them rather than taking them down.
