Do you guys think...

You shouldn't have that mindset. There is always something new to bring to the table. Start simple. Take a common idea like a reactionary video, and add your own twist. Develop from there.
I agree, you have a negative outlook on it. When you start off by looking at reasons why you can't succeed, your giving yourself justification to loose.

"The man who believes he can and the man who believes he cannot are equally correct"

Lol im not being negative, im just saying that it seems that small channels get a bit oppressed
There's no concept of being "oppressed" on YouTube. YouTube is a marketplace with video content. It's up to YOU to make your stuff as big as the guy you consider big. No person or entity is stopping you.

Yes but they can push down your videos so that the more well known youtubers are at the top of the video results...oppressing...pushing down... see where im getting at? Listen i understand that yes, i decide what to make and how good it is, but people are more likely to watch the big youtuber when they are at the top of the results "They will watch you if you are entertaining and charming" Yes they would, if they ever saw me, Thats all im trying to say Mkay?

If anything, the bigger game channels frequently give a hand to little channels if they get on the big channels' good side and make good enough content to get regular shout-outs, guest spots, and maybe even in their featured channels box. You can't really compare RoosterTeeth Vs Attlas93 to Walmart Vs a Mom-and-Pop store because subs don't work like dollars; you don't have to earn sub tokens to use to subscribe to a channel so you can have as many subscriptions as you want and watch as many videos as you see fit.

What really is a detriment to small gaming channels is that there so many of them that the only the very best of most creative have a chance of rising to the top. Right now there are nearly 66 million videos about minecraft and 30 million videos involving the call of duty franchise on YouTube. How does one make themselves stick out in a crowd that big? Even if you play other games you're still in a massive sea of other entry-level YT Gaming Channels.

No they can't "push you down" in the video results.

I got a first page ranking for a keyword phrase that is the same name as a hollywood movie AND a famous band simply by using SEO properly and working YouTube's engagement factor. (and I did it on 5 videos)

Also, how do you think the "big" channels got big man? Do you think they had some kind of "friend" at Google/YouTube and that's the only reason they're big? They found a formula that worked and continued to use it.

Yes if you get on the big channels good side, and they are already getting tons of mail from the other channels, and you can't rely on just meeting them online in a game lobby and even then they mostly just count you off as a fanboy, I've tryed talking to bigger youtubers, even a guy with 3k subs told me to "f**k off and stop trying to steal subs" even though i just asked for a collab[DOUBLEPOST=1365563452,1365563409][/DOUBLEPOST]

Please, im not a paranoid quack, A video with 29 views isn't gonna go above a Pewdiepie video with a million and a half views

As small YouTubers, this is normal. We have to work hard to push our way up to the top of the search result page.

It seems that you might be going about it the wrong way. You don't just message someone out of the blue and ask for a guest spot or a collab, you have to actually establish a relationship with them like you would in real life.

Start by being a frequent commenter (and positive, constructive comments at that) on a channel small enough to notice a regular commentator, say, 1k-5k subs strong. Then maybe after a few regular dialogues between you and them in their comments section PM them and try too get to know them better. Finally when you're good YT friends you can then ask them if they'd be comfortable putting you on as a channel guest. It's better if they invite you to do it though because that means that not only do they like you but they like your videos enough to feel that you would contribute something.

Do you guys think that within the gaming community that smaller youtubers are kinda crushed by the large youtubers? What i mean is say that i do a BF4 reaction trailer, something that all the bigger youtubers have done, is that i will be at the very bottom of the bottom of the list and no one will most likely see it? What do you think?

Crushed is an odd word to use. Do they have an established fanbase and viewer base? Yes. Did they work for it and deserve it, I would say so or else their viewers would have left them already.

Now if you are telling me if all of their viewers saw your BF4 reaction trailer first, they would instantly sub to you and forget about the other "large YouTuber" well then, only you can answer that truthfully to yourself. Until then, keep working on your material and content, keep pushing yourself and all that hard work will pay off. Sitting around and complaining about unfairness doesn't get anyone anywhere.
