Though I do plan on it, in the process of getting a better mic setup and all and then I can get into the consistency of making videos; Scheduling is nice so can have the same upload time on every day, and as your viewership grows they'll always know OK 5 minutes left, time to watch a new video ! It's nice if you also prerecord things in bulk. If I have a lot of time some days I can record 4-5 vids and that leaves me just the editing/uploading portion of the work for that day.

Not really. I post whenever I want, but I've been trying to keep a schedule of uploading at least once a day.

I've been in the habit of scheduling my videos lately, and after doing some research online (mostly from articles from 2015) it seems that Thursday - Saturday are the most ideal days to post, and the morning (surprisingly, yet not so much after realizing I do much of my own YT surfing before going to work lol).

Do you follow these days roughly or have your own schedule?

I know other big Youtubers are able to make their own schedule after getting big, but for us smaller youtubers would it be ideal to follow this, does it give an edge, etc.?

Thoughts?

I have not made use of it on this channel but on my previous one it saved time. Also sometimes I create an overhead of content and then even though I have 4 videos ready to share with the public I hold it for a later time.
This then sort of create a bank. I went up until two weeks of content ready to air but instead of posting everything I scheduled it . Sure there are events that you need to stay up to date with with your content, so you make a video you want to show. Add the video first in que and move the rest back. Sometimes a video is no good when its old so you rather move them up the que and let the videos that does not require a specific time frame to be posted to be last on que.

Now when you go on vacation or have something happen then you can start "withdrawing" from the video bank
Its always great to have an overhead of content

Oh I see! Is Youtube your career full time then?
No but I would love it to be my full time :) I mean day off from editing and filming it because I shoot 5 videos in 1 day. I do batching my videos so it is less work for me. I've watched your video about Taipei your editing is on point and you sound like Michelle Phan (lovely voice). Did you edit that video? :welldone: I like your editing style. (Sorry, out of topic)

I wish I could but I got a hectic schedule in college :/ maybe someday if I finish college and live away from my guardians/relatives

scheduling is definitely a must in my opinion. Especially once you get bigger and your community expects a new vid at an particular time. I like scheduling since it makes me feel like im stock piling videos haha.

Yeah for sure ! I think everyone would love that eh? But wow 5 videos in 1 day?! That's insane! That's awesome, I can barely do 1 I can't even imaging trying for 2 lol. What kind of videos do you usually film?

Thanks so much! That made my day, really appreciate it. I did edit it! But it took a long time and sure wasn't like that before haha. Only recently playing around and starting to be serious with editing. Thanks so much for your comment! <3
