Do you guys go back and change old thumbnails?

I can see both sides, I see where it's good to edit them, and then I don't really care as much because it's my channel afterall and I'm enjoying myself and I love to look back and see my growth.

I updated most of mine so that there was a visual element to try related videos together. For example, all the videos for programming iPhones have a green stripe to the left side. I didn't have this when I started. I also made higher quality thumbs and renamed a few videos to be more attention grabbing/SEO friendly. Long story short (too late), it's ok to change the thumbs and it can help improve your channel.

I'm for changing it!

When I finally got a style that I liked I went back and changed everything to be the same and look uniform... When your video finishes other links pop up at the end, some of them will be yours, ditto on the side bar. If they all look the same yours will stand out against others and it will be recognizable.. When I noticed other videos were being suggested, the old title cards didn't even look like my video, so I realized it's time to change it.. Also it was fun to go back and reimagine what I would do then knowing what I do now.. I have strong opinions about this part of YouTube, I don't like or understand it much. but I was able to find a style that's "me" and make it stand out and be recognizable at the same time.

I changed a bunch of my more recent ones to a certain style that I thought looked better and was more uniform. But if I get a good screencap of something or am doing a live action video instead of gaming, I'll use that instead with some logos thrown in. Jontron went back through pretty much all of his old videos for some reason and did new thumbnails for them a couple years back. Not really sure why, but I think it was to use some new graphics his artist came up with (so I guess I do know why).

I enjoy being able to look at the progress that I've made over the years and see how much better quality my content has evolved into.
