Do you get involved in arguments on YouTube?

If you go to any video where it's a heavy religion or heavy science atmosphere, you can bet £1,000 that when you scroll down to the comments it will be paragraph after paragraph of people pointlessly replying to each other.

It's either devolved into a debate or it's become just throwing insults at each other. I used to reply, but I realized that it was a huge waste of my time, so when I see a comment I disagree with I usually close my eyes and scroll up. Either that or I'll think of what I want to say to them and may even hit the reply button but I won't post it.

most of the people who get into big heated arguments in the youtube comments are usually irrational to the point of idiocy, I tend to just leave them to it since no matter what you say they'll still want to argue :p

Nope. Adding fuel to the internet fire is pointless if you ask me. Don't feed those who are already full of themselves.

At the end of the day, nothing gets accomplished from a Royal Rumble in the comment section.

It depends what mood I am in and what they have said. Usually I just ignore the trolls and move on but if I have had a sh*t day or/and they are getting offensive. I do troll back.

Definitely not. No one's gonna win that battle anyway, and all that does is ruin your damn mood for the rest of the day, because the other person disagreeing with you is "stupid" for not getting your point. No matter what you say, they'll always find something against it. Why waste time like that when you could rather be making another youtube video instead? :)

I wish I could like this more than once, I smiled when I read it.

I used to argue with hate comments on my old channel. Now I realize that was stupid and I regret doing it. However, 99% of the internet arguments I have been in end up in us apologizing and getting over it.

I never get into the arguments anymore. I used to but then I realised it really is pointless. Nothing beneficial comes from those types of arguments. Nowadays, If I ever get negative comments on my videos, I thank the person for taking the time to give me feedback.
