Do you feel intros and outros are needed?

In my honest opinion, I usually don't like intros, maybe I haven't seen one that's good enough, but they just dont do it for me. As for outros, I thinknthey are necessary in case you want to place annotations for other videos.

Do you guys feel that for a small time YT channel that intros and outros are needed? For example my channel is a gaming one, there isn't really anything interesting to do for them except show another video or just shove my intro down their throat. Where as without one it gets right to the gameplay and perhaps leaves them wanting more instead of shoving things that they may or may not find interesting in the end.

What do you guys think? I know a lot of gaming channels didn't have them and I know some w he re the intro is way too long and loses me immediately. A lot of my early videos had intros and outros but lately since I've been posting a lot of twitch highlights I haven't done it, which I kind of like better really. What do you guys think? Do you think they are needed to grab audiences?
I personally don't use any intros or outros in my videos. Intros are more for a branding thing. Like, you can use one if you're trying to be flashy with your branding and all. As for outros, I think they work for some people because it allows you to point viewers to your other content and such. I just don't use them because I don't really care for them. I want people to get to my content quickly and see it for its entirety, rather than focusing on what an intro/outro should be like because most of them will most likely skip over those anyways, especially if they're long-time viewers. I will skip over people's intros if they're too long and if it's something they always use. As for outros, unless their video continues over into the outro, I'll exit out of the video. Again, it's mostly a preference and branding thing imo.
