Do we have a chance?

I launched the gaming group BudgetGamers recently. We have found a lot of people joining, a lot of great content creators, and we built this community almost. People left, new people joined, however we kept going strong. It's great.

However I noticed that our viewers are failing to translate to subs. We have gained 30+ subs in only a few months, which is awesome! However it fell to a really slow rate. Maybe every now and then we see a new sub, but it's been mostly a slow grow.

We're gamers, in an already jam packed gaming niche. People also say growing a channel in 2016 is damn near impossible. If the members of the group don't see steady growth, they may start leaving. We're pretty tight knit, and all good pals by now, but I don't blame people for losing interest if we are getting 1 sub a week. 1 comment a day. It is slow. I love every sub we get, but do you think we have a chance?
 
Since being a gamer on YouTube is still very saturated, do something that makes you stand out. People have gamer's they watch everyday, give them a reason to go to your channel for different stuff, don't copy pewd's or vanoss, or any of your favourite gaming channels! Make your own style of, whether it be video editing, gaming style, etc. Be creative in your own way and trust me, people will love the difference!
 
We all have a chance! It may be hard to grow at first, but they'll start coming in faster because of the snowball effect. In the summer I had like 30-40 subs. Just in the month of October I gained like 75+ subs! Just keep grinding :D
 
YouTube is full of gamers, so it is difficult to stand out in this ocean. Do collabs and shoutouts to boost the attention of the viewers towards your channel.

Slow growth is better than no growth mate :)
 
I think there's always room for more in any niche, but we have to be smarter as we approach building our audiences. Don't be slack in analyzing your statistics, in promoting like crazy, in doing different types of marketing, in collaborating, etc. Working hard and working smart in tandem can gain you success.
