Yes, yes they do. Look at most actors, 90 percent of them are good looking, and a lot of the good looking ones can't even act (looking at you twilight girl)

It's sad but true. Just like real-world celebrities, the majority are good looking. So to quite an extent, it matters. HOWEVER, you can easily overcome this by having good content to make up for it ;D

I do find it annoying that someone with good looks but terrible skills in what they are doing can get really far while if someone else who was doing the same thing but was not as good looking but was much better at the skill doesn't do as well because of looks

I think that there are a lot of Tubers who are famous for mainly their looks, but look at Pewds for instance. He isn't a supermodel looking kinda guy, but he always has a smile and is happy to be making videos (unless he's raging xD) and he's the #1 YouTuber right now.

I think that you can easily "look good" to your audience by sincerely being happy with what you're doing.

But... do looks matter? The correct answer is: Only if you want to make it in the big leagues. There are folk at the top that do not have picture perfect looks, but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Most of them are pretty nice to look at. People like looking at beautiful people.

Yeah with vlogging i think looks do play a big part...
BUT i notice alot of "goodlooking" people actually just do a kinda sub for sub deal.. you know those people who follow 18k people on twitter and have 16k followe ect..
