Do Accents Impact Your YouTube Success?

It really depends on the viewers lol I don't even know if I have an accent since I am from Puerto Rico and spanish is my first language but welp It all depends :) I think Scottish accent is pretty awesome ^^
Everyone has an accent lol. You don't realize you do because everyone around you talks similar, but to someone not from where you live, it's an accent.

Ok so this question's been bothering me for a while now.
Do you think that the accent you speak in has an impact in your ability to do well on YouTube?
Like, do you think you are more likely to click away from a video if you find the accent strange/difficult to understand?
Or do you think it's a good thing, that can be used to your advantage?
I'm from Scotland and I feel I really need to change how I speak in my videos in order for people to even understand me sometimes haha :)
Would genuinely love to hear some people's opinions on this one
I think it makes some impact if you find a certain accent appealing you may be more likely to stay at a video for longer and you may also shy away from accents you don't care much for. I do this sometimes there are just accents that I find easier to listen to and I end up watching longer.

I find my accent is one of the main things that helps to draw people into my videos! People love the irish accent and I think if I had any other one, I wouldn't be growing like I am.

Some people say they like my accent as well, every once in a while I get a negative feedback. I've been living in the states for 13 years now but it's just hard to pronounce some things, like th (people laugh when I try to say third) and w-v, I seem to get the two mixed a lot in pronounciation.
