Dislikers on purpose.

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone of you have had the same problem.
Im doing YouTube since half a year and at the beginning my best friend loved the idea. He helped me for views and subscribers and likes and everything but when I reached 500 subs, he suddenly stopped talking to me.

Now with 1k subscribers, he and his friends started to make dislike rounds. So when I upload a video it has instantly 5-10 dislikes after being online for a bit.
And I dont care about haters which I DONT know. So if its a person Ive never talked to then a dislike isnt bad but knowing your ex best friend is the reason is so s**t and I feel so bad about it and I dont know what to do because apparently I cat block him and If I could I dunno how and where.

So if you been in that situation, how did you handle it? Because currently Im just crying and feeling really bad about it.
 
You could block him if you could figure out which account he was disliking your videos from. :) Go to their channel, click "about" and there should be an option to block them.
I think it's really messed up that he's taking time out of his day to dislike your content. That's really low. :(

I feel like there's more to this story than you're saying...

You said he was helping you get views and subs? Maybe he feels like your success is in large part attributed to the work he put in, and you never properly thanked him or helped him with something he wanted to do? I don't know, I don't know either of you so it's hard to say but this seems like you have a bunch of drama that caused this to happen...
 
Anytime you do well in life, no matter where it is taking place, there will be folks who want to hate on you and bring you down. It sucks. But it's up to you whether or not you let them. I'd try and work out how to block their known accounts (they may have others) and after that just get used to those handful of dislikes being part of your upload schedule. Let it fuel you if you can and work towards getting to a point where the THOUSANDS of likes you are getting on a new video make the dislikes mean next to nothing.
 
If I found their comment, I would block them, if they dislike my videos without showing their identity, I would welcome them to take their time to dislike my video and give me 1 VIEW :)

wow thats a pretty cowardly thing for that person to do..i mean i guess you could block him or his comments or what ever but that sucks that you have to do that in the first place...:(
 
There is one thing you need to turn on asap. Hell, you should already turn it on before you even think about getting involved with anything internet related.
[Ignore Mode]
But remember, it is always fun to turn on the mode below.
[Feed Mode]
That mode is for when you want to feed the trolls, remember though, if you start getting emotional about a subject [Feed Mode] will result in...
["b***h on YTTALK because people are trolling me" Mode]
In that case revert to [Ignore Mode] to get it all back in line!
 
I usually like to stay very positive, but f*** your former friend. That is so idiotic. I say ignore it. It is bad that you are getting dislikes, but at least you know it's not because of your content, it's because they are just jealous. I cannot say that I have been in the situation, but I would just leave it alone and ignore them.

I'm sorry that they are jerks. Just know that it's not because of you, it's because they don't like how successful you are compared to them.

Haters will hate, so don't mind them! They are not supposed to stop you from achieving your goal! JUST IGNORE THEM AND MOVE ON! :)
 
You need to get control of the situation. Bullies like feeling like they can control you and your emotions.
If this is a person you know, I'd get tough on them. Confront them. Show them who's boss and that you're not going to take it.

Making a bully scared, even for a moment, can do good things for you. Just don't do anything that might be illegal. I've heard recently that ignoring bullying can be damaging to the people enduring the stress of it, and I can agree with that on a personal level. Better to deal with it than to let it slide. It's better for your pride and mental well being.
