Dislike bot in most of my videos

Greetings. I'm the owner of YouTube.com/GameWorldgr . It's one of the largest video game channels in Greece with nearly 18.000 subscribers . Since August, we have someone who uses a dislike bot to most of our videos! YouTube does nothing for this.

This is a video showing this guy caught in action. Back in summer he had created 50 channels in one Gmail account, using the Channel Switcher. Unfortunately YouTube allows 50 channels per account! You can try this for yourself!

For God's sake, WHO IS GOING TO NEED 50 CHANNELS! Even if you are a TV Station you surely not gonna need them! So anyone that gives his mobile number 5 times, can have 5 gmail accounts x 50 channels = 250 accounts. You can use them either in 2 tabs or by using a dislike bot! This guy uses a Dislike bot to dislike my videos and specific comments!

This video prooves that he did this. After every refresh of the screen a new dislike appears, which clearly shows that this is done by ONE person:

What does bot do
================
- Dislike on chosen videos
- Flag as spam and dislike in comments with the most likes (this forces us to disable likes in comments).

What YouTube replied

I talked with a YouTube representative but he can't do much. Decisions are taken from the Ireland Headquarters only. I also talked to a laywer and he tries to find charges against that guy. It's legal to dislike videos but it's illegal to use bot programs like this.

Our serious issue here is that users complain for dislikes (but of course none of them will make 50 channels and like our videos), sponsors also complain for dislikes, and our public image is broken, because many people think that these dislikes are "Real" and that we have haters! They can't even imagine how could someone use a Dislike bot and do all this stuff!

What we demand

1)Find and ban those multiple accounts using bot
2)Reveal youtube channels and email addresses of those accounts, or even the IP of the one that was using the bot, so that we can sue him.
3)Delete the dislikes caused by bot programs .

We will use a laywer and proceed with this issue even if we have the minimal chance of gaining something out of this. YouTube has only given me this link which I filled out:

I didn't specify a link to a US law but I described it as best as I could ("Disruption of public image", "Viewers disatisfied by the tons of likes", "Loss of income from sponsors who see dislikes in their videos" etc.)

I constantly speak with YouTube representatives in Ireland every day. The issue remains pending. I posted this in the official YouTube forum and now I'm coming to YTTalk because you seem one of the largest forums out there. I need your help as I work 24/7, my time is limited, I can't hunt Likes all the time, and I have no intense to let this keep happening.

My email is gameworldgr at gmail.com for any help, advises etc. At least if someone can give me information in this topic we can also discuss the issue here. The sure thing is that it's gonna take LONG time until we find who is hiding from there or at least keep him out!

It totally sucks that some ******* is doing this to your videos, but I am afraid I have a bit of a wake up call for your situation:

You want to SUE someone over a few dislikes? Mate... no. Just no. Epic waste of money, time and resources. I worked in law for a very long time dealing with defamation/slander cases and I can tell you this: NO lawyer in the world will take on a case like this. Ever.

There is a huge difference between slander/defamation of character, and video dislikes. Don't like the dislikes? Disable ratings. Someone leaves a bad comment? Keep blocking them. They'll get bored if you remove their ability to do it.

They're not slandering you by thumbing you down, however much it may sting. Slander is when you basically lie about someone, spreading bad things about them. This is not slander, and will never, ever, ever hold up in court.

Trolls thrive on fuss. The more fuss you make, the more they will do it.

Well using a dislike bot is against YouTube's ToS.

Don't like the dislikes? Disable ratings. Someone leaves a bad comment? Keep blocking them. They'll get bored if you remove their ability to do it.

If I disable ratings then people will think that I have bad videos! Do you know channels with 18.000 subscribers to disable ratings? Naaah. None of them. Even if I have 650 Likes, when the guy with the bot hits 400 dislikes the impression is really bad.

Trolls thrive on fuss. The more fuss you make, the more they will do it.

That particular guy I suspect has written abuse posts in a blog about both us and the other big game site of Greece. So we suspect one particular guy who might do the dislikes as well. Posting false accuses/abusing someone in a blog IS something to hunt down for sure! So by charging this guy I might find out that he is the one that uses the dislike bot as well.

Don't you have YouTube meetings in your country? Youtube sends emails to partners for meetings, representatives and Partners meet at a cafe, and we exchange emails (don't expect though to get a phone number of a YouTube employee, hehe!)

YouTube update: After I sent 20 videos which were struck by that troll, the YouTube representative from UK Ireland in which I talk privately these days, told me this morning that their technicians is checking on the subject. I hope they figure something out.

AAA Priority for YouTube should be: Allowing ONE dislike for each Gmail account!! It is really stupid for them to allow up to 50 dislikes for those that make 50 channels with the same Gmail account, in order to use dislike bots! What's the meaning?? It's the same person!! He will either use those accounts to Like his videos or Dislike other videos! Instead, they only block IPs. ex. I have a static IP at work so they added it to block list after some dozens of likes I tried to my videos.

Uhm, yeah, I agree it sucks that someone is apparently using a dislike bot for your videos... but do you seriously need to bring the law in for this? It's not that serious, dude. I'm not trying to oppose you or whatever, but you do see there's more serious problems in the world than someone f*****g disliking your video. You're not the only person on the planet to get dislike bots on videos. Dislike bots are on a lot of people, hell, even people just dislike your video just for the f**k of it. I know it's illegal to do so, but.... seriously, when have you seen ANY sort of creditable control over piracy or illegal activities on the internet (besides P2P with child p**n or molestation)?

It's going to happen. Be glad that the dislikes aren't outweighing the likes. It's not as if your subscribed viewers are suddenly going to turn away from you.

It agree that it's excessive but if you have hardcore fans (and you must at 18k subscribers) then you won't have to worry about it. How can you tell it's the same person with 50 accounts. If you can tell that, can you not block them?

@Manos I noticed that you only quoted the most unimportant parts of my reply. My main point - the only point you need to focus on - is that you cannot, and will not, get a Solicitor desperate enough for money that he'll take this one. And if he does? he's a terrible Solicitor. Trust me, I know. Even EU laws don't cover petty things like this. (sorry but it is a legally petty issue, nobody's breaking the law)
