Disgusted about the new YouTube Layout.

Leaving YouTube because of it only suggests to me that you perhaps only want to be popular on the site rather than making videos for yourself and having a good time?

Sure, it's annoying. But YouTube is a business, not a get rich/famous quick scheme. Why else do you think the larger channels (a la RWJ) manage to get away with so much copyright infringement and rule breaking? They want to earn money, and this is how they are doing it.

I will totally agree that the little banner on the video watch page was quite cute and it's a shame full partners no longer have that feature. But then again, does it matter that it's gone, really? It won't make the video you're watching any better or worse, and its presence (or lack thereof) isn't going to influence whether or not I subscribe to somebody.

Just my two cents hehe.

They are making the profiles look like the homepage. They are getting rid of the backgrounds, so your profile will be white. There is still a banner on top, but I don't think it's even clickable. It's a mess.
Check out iJustine's channel if you want to see what it looks like, tho I don't think the banner is loading.. At least it's not showing up for me.

OMG ITS HIDEOUS!!! I HATE IT! What the hell is youtube thinking? I just bought a custom background recently and now my channel will just look like s**t like everyone elses

Did you read the whole passage, I enjoy making videos but presenting them on a branded channel, My whole point of this was if you read the last line, do youtube really value the people who bring in their money??? NO.

Of course they don't. As I said, YouTube is a business not an outlet designed for regular people. It sucks, but that's life unfortunately. I hate the new layout but like every other big change, I'll adjust and in a couple of months I probably won't remember the old update hehe.
