Difference between "Ban from channel" and "Block"

Hello !

I have a question for you guys,which is the difference between "Ban from channel" and "Block"

I had a problem,where i banned a person from my youtube channel and they could still comment but i was the only one who wasn't able to see it,other viewers were able to.

So can someone tell me what is the difference between those 2 ?

I never knew those where 2 different things, but I'm pretty sure ban from channel should not allow them to comment, and block should not allow them to message you or comment (I think) of they are still able to comment they are probably using a different account, unless it's a glitch
 
"Ban" typically means that they cannot go somewhere, so they should not even be able to access your channel, and block just means they shouldn't be able to message you. Unless Google lives on some other planet where these are backwards, then yeah the person is probably using another account or there's some sort of glitch.
 
I was curious about the same thing. Either way, even if they can still post, they will be the only people seeing their comments. They shouldn't appear to anybody else.
 
I guess ban from channel means that there is no way they can access your channel, and block mean they can't contact you.
