Did i put effort or no effort into this?

It does seem like its simple and get the message out there. It is a pleasing thumbnail to looks at, and seems smooth and well crafted, and overall I would say it is a great thumbnail for your video!
 
It looks good~! Do make sure that the artwork is free to use, artists often don't appreciate their (fan) art ripped. If it's art made by the game company, make sure you are allowed to use the images.

I like your thumbnail,it looks really simple but also very good at the same time.I would suggest making the letters a bit bigger,also try to some eye catching colors like red but don't overuse it.
