personally I would laugh in his face :') Lol it's youtube and LINES ffs.. LINES! you can't copyright that... I see hundreds of people with lines like that in their banners everyday.
 
Tell him this. "If you feel that strongly and I completely disagree with what you are saying then sue me", because one, this guy isn't willing to take it there and two, he would lose big time.

Haha I settled it, he unsubbed and moved along. Oh well, I don't want those kind of people subbed to me
 
He's calling you out on a common graphic design element? Jeez, haha. That's like saying an architect is unoriginal because he included windows on his building.
 
Just keep on rollin', man. If he decides to attempt to take it further, deal with it then. Until he does, you've said your piece. If he refuses to accept it, that's his beef, not yours.
