Hey guys, this is Mark here and this is going to be a straight to the point easy guide on how you can make thumbnails the PRO way! :cool:

Programs You Will Need:-
✔ Adobe Photoshop
✔ Topaz Detail and Topaz Clean Plugins
✔ Fonts from dafont.com

✎ Steps To Follow:-

Render an image of resolution 1280 x 720p & resolution 300 Pixel/inch

✔ Choose a Background from google and drag it from the folder to photoshop,
Hold CTRL + T to resize the image and fit it according to the resolution

✔ Now choose a texture again from google and drag it from the folder to photoshop.
Hold CTRL + T to resize the image and fit it according to the resolution

✔now select the texture and select effects tab which shows the option 'Normal' currently enabled

✔ Normal > Multiply

✔Now change the Fill% to 75% make sure you select the texture

✔This is what you should get

✔Now hold Shift and selct both the layers, right click on the highlighter later and chose the option merge layers

✔Next add the renders available on the internet, the same way you did in the first step

Note:- make sure the renders are transparent when placing them, to ensure this make sure u add the keyword 'transparent when searching for a render online


✔ You can resize using ctrl + t

✔ Once you got your renders ready, use the dropshadow effect on them , by clicking on the render layer and selecting the dropshadow tab

✔ Now choose the text for the thumbnail.

✔ and use your desired Fonts

✔ Now use the drop shadow and gradient overlay option

✔ Next Select the BackGround - Texture layer and edit it using Topaz Filter,

  • in the top toolbar click FILTER< TOPAZ Labs < Topaz Detail

  • FILTERS < TOPAZ Labs < Topaz Clean

✔lastly go to FILE> Save As > save as and choose JPEG.​

✔There you have it your final end result should look pretty damm good!

Pretty good tutorial, I havent started using thumbnails but I will be from now on, thanks a lot for this easy to follow tutorial, props to you bro!
