Descriptions and Search Engine Optimization (Question)

On the topic of using YouTube descriptions to optimize your searches - according to a guide posted by ConnersCraftNation, keyword density is one of the most important factors in ranking high on searches, and certain words in your descriptions and tags may help.

However, I noticed a lot of people put "additional" tags in their videos in an effort to drive up keyword density, and get a better shot at snagging views.

On a lot of videos, especially gameplay commentaries, you'll see people put headings in the description such as:
-ADDITIONAL TAGS-
followed by a STREAM of keywords and phrases.

I'm just wondering... is that a good thing to do in order to get views and exposure? If so, how do I know what type of keywords I should use to drive up views. If not, what are some other ways I can get traffic to some of my videos?
 
Do not do this, it's against terms of service and if someone decides to report you for any reason, it will get your channel closed down
 
Adding tags to your descriptions is against ToS, and can get your channel terminated.

For example, MrTechnicalDifficult had like 2M+ subs I believe, and his channel recently got taken down because of this.
 
I'd suggest you remove or refrain from adding any "additional tags" on your videos, because there are actuall groups who go around and mass-report your videos if they have that, which results in a ban really fast.
 
Don't add tags on your description like the others said you can get your account terminated and you don't want that. You can always add as much tags as you can that are related to your video and share your videos here on the video section and your signature (getting forum access or VIP with ytcash) sharing it on social media. I have found sharing my videos on some google + communities have help me reach viewers and new subscribers :)
 
Can someone tell me how can someone do this? All I see is report for abuse, suicide and things like that. I am not going to try to get a channel banned, don't worry. I am asking to know if I should take my tags off or not.

ShenShen, can you teach me how to use Google+ in order to get traffic to some of my videos?

Lol it's not that hard but ok here a small tutorial:

  1. On your google+ yo go to the left corner and you can see a drop down menu that has: Home, Dashboard, People, etc, you will go to Communities and click it.
  2. Search for communities and join them, but make sure that they allow to share videos. For example I have join @KGATV community and I can watch other people videos as well show them mine, same with some gaming ones :)
  3. Share them. You can share your videos on the community once you join or you can share it from your video by clicking the google + icon on the share it to the community :)
