Thing to remember here is that this is NOT a competition! Focus on you! Do not worry how other channels are doing; rather focus on making yours the best it can be! You will certainly get down if you continue to focus on those big channels! I use their views and subs to keep me grounded..LOL! What I mean by that is, sometimes Turwinkle thinks he is just the bees knees and I show him those numbers. It helps to remind him that we are a long ways from where we would like to be some day. So keep your nose to the grind stone, put on blinders to those numbers and focus on your audience! You will get revitalized and so will your subscribers, which in turn will bring you more subs!:up2:
 
Study those successful channels and see what works and what doesn't and how you can incorporate the successful elements to fit your style. YouTube is an open book to view stats and videos and searches to determine what people want to see. No other 'industry' is quite like it, so transparent.
 
I wouldn't say that you won't reach them. They didn't even know they would reach where they were before they did it. It's completely possible. I agree that you shouldn't compare and it's not a competition. There can't only be one...it would be boring. Youtube works because there are several different channels out there and there's variety.
